Comments on Ketna’s art and the Asia Pop! project

Hello Ms. Patel,

I am so impressed and inspired by your work. I’m sure you hear that a lot. I’m not an “art collector” or some kind of Martini-sipping social elite or anything, I’m just an ordinary, simple guy who grew up in the poorest neighborhood in Philadlephia, USA, so I apologize that my tastes may not be so sophisticated. I like what I like. And I like what you do. I would love to see it in person some day, so I have begun saving my money so that I can come to see your work with my own eyes in Singapore. I have planned a trip to come there in September. When I look at your work, from your simplest sketches to your wildest photo collages, I find myself just gazing and wondering about all the thoughts that went into their creations. What are they saying, and more importantly, why are they saying it. I am very excited to come to Singapore to see your works, and who knows, perhaps I may leave with one of my own? My fiance and I discuss your work often and how they can represent anything from tranquility to turmoil and we have talked about having one on our wall to be proud of and to gaze at and hopefully recall good memories of Singapore. Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but I wanted to tell you that you have inspired us to come to Singapore specifically to see your works. Since money is not easy to come by for us, I hoped it would be a great compliment to you that we are planning this trip. Thank you for sharing your world with us.

Sincerely,

Todd & Amanda
