"Rojak Asia"
This
is a large Artwork commissioned by Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates
(HHPA), the architects responsible for some of the world’s
most popular restaurant designs, including Brasserie 8 1/2,Guastavino’s
in collaboration with Terence Conran, Bryant Park Grill, the Rainbow
Room, and Windows on the World.
The Artwork was conceived of by Ketna following the brief given
to her by the New York Architects.
The design is a contemporary montage of popular asian culture; asian
motifs and stories, reflecting the yesterday, today and tommorrow
of South East Asia.
"Rojak Asia" is the first thing one sees upon entering
the bar and restaurant, dramatically located in one of Asia's highest
bar's.
Unexpected juxtapositions lend a sense of visual excitement that
plays off the spectacular, 360-degree views of Singapore and the
neighbouring countries of Malaysia and Indonesia for which the setting
is renowned.
